Came across some a rather annoying issue when reinstalling windows the other day. I used nlite to get my RAID drivers in since I don’t have any usb floppy drives laying around. When installation was complete however, I got the following error:
Title: “nhelper”
Error: “Windows cannot find ‘nhelper’. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and try again. To search for a file click the Start button, and then click Search.”
Joy! nhelper isn’t anything necessary, and the best solution would be to figure out where it is being called from so that we can remove it from the startup.
But the quick fix seems to be to copy the file nhelper.exe to your windows/system and windows/system32 folders. Click here to download nhelper.exe
There seem to be better fixes that were in the old comments though I haven’t tried any of the, myself. I’ve re-posted them here.

1-RUN> Regedit
2-Move to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnceEx
Its subfolder contain 4 & 5 value entry.
3- Delete the 4 and 5 value entries.
4- Restart system.
